Builder's Blog Update - Week 22

By Murray Kneale, Jennian Homes

Builder's Blog Week 22

Well, it's nearly the end of the construction. Interior wise, the appliances have been fitted, curtains have benn installed in the bedrooms and the blinds scheduled for tomorrow to be installed throughout the lounge, kichen dinning/family areas.

Final touchups and checking of the house will be completed over the next few days and we should be all set for final inspection by the Franklin District Council next week and issue the Code of Compliance Certificate.

There is still plenty to do in the next week on the exterior with paving to complete, edging pavers to the path ways, mulch to install, topsoil, ready lawn, planting, fencing and staining as well as the pouring of the drives and paths.

The aim is to have the home totally completed inside and out next week.

If all goes according to plan, next weeks' pictures will show a sparkling new home on a smartly landscaped section in Anselmi Ridge, Pukekohe - New Zealand’s first fully Future Proofed subdivision.

Will there be some landscaping and plants?

Will they be palms and agarve plants that don't need much watering?

Will there be at least a foot of topsoil so the grass doesn't dry and die in the summer?
