Builder's Blog Update - Week 19
Interior painting has been completed on the ASB home and it’s now time for the subtrades to begin the installation of the internal fittings leading through to the final fit off by subtrades.
The kitchen and bench units are now being installed, and ready for the installation of the undertile heating. The undertile heating is screed, (which means to put a floor leveling compound over the wiring ready for tiling) into the tiled areas ready for the floor tiling to commence.
The fitting out of the bathrooms is now also underway.
This is one area of the home that always deserves special attention and care as to not do so, can lead to leaks and costly repairs. This applies to renovations as much as new homes.

Especially important is the waterproofing to tiled showers and bathroom floors, for which the installer supplies a producer statement to the Local Authority upon completion of the job or in this instance, as we are installing Clearlite shower cubicles into the ASB Home we use a specialist shower installation company. This week has also seen some action on the exterior of the home with the blockwork for the terraces laid ready for filling and laying of the firth pavers and blade wall next.
More fencing has been completed and once the plastering of the blockwork has been completed next week, the final ground levels will be shaped and filled where necessary.
Next week will see drives and paths being formed and prepared for concrete which will be laid in the following week.
