Builder's Blog Update - week 13

By Murray Kneale

house

Well, the holidays are over (too quick as usual) and we are now into a new year.

Progress on the ASB home is starting to wind up again with all of the exterior brickwork now completed and Moloney Plasterers have made a start on applying the plaster system over the Monier Presto bricks. We anticipate this will be completed towards the end of next week at which point we will have the painters make a start on the exterior decorating.

Internally, the house is approx 50% Gib lined at present and this will continue on through next week.

We are now also starting to lay out the landscaping and will commence with patios, fences retaining etc over the next few weeks. Planting schedules have been produced for the landscaping also and we are now trying to secure supply of the plants specified.

All in all a busy start to the year and I look forward to keeping you updated as the ASB Home gradually heads toward completion.

  1. Murray the work done so far, from viewing the pictures posted, certainly looks like its good quality workmanship. Its great being able to follow the progress for people that have never built before to see whats involved. Well done.
