Builder's Blog Update - week 10

Another week’s gone and thanks to the guys at Summit Aluminum who went all out and gave up their Saturday to get the aluminum joinery manufactured (and glazed on time) everything is back on track.

Chris is back on the Christmas card list and the beer is on the way. Thanks guys.

As the photos show, the roof is all completed, the double glazed windows installed and most of the cedar weather boards have been fixed to the feature panel areas. 

Electricians, plumbers, gas fitters and DVS pre-pipes and pre-wires are presently going through the home with the aim being to have insulation installed next week and for the house to be ready for preline inspection and installation of the Gib internal linings.

The ASB Jennian Home includes many of the Future Proof Building benefits, the first now evident being the double glazed aluminum windows and doors offering increased insulation and sound benefits. The second one will be the uprated internal insulation in the form of Pink Batts with R values of 2.6 in the walls and 3.0 in the ceilings.

This will help ensure the eventual winner of the ASB home will be living in a warm cosy environment.

With Xmas looming quickly and all tradesmen looking frazzled and ready for a break the ASB home should be all set ready to commence the interior finishing and landscaping in the New Year.
